About the Series
The BIOP Career Readiness Series is an annual virtual program designed to help you show up prepared for your next career move. Building on BIOP's mock interview and resume review events, this year's series gives you a more complete path: expert-led prep workshops first, followed by one-on-one resume reviews, CV reviews, and mock interviews with I/O practitioners, recruiters, HR leaders, consultants, and academics.

Prep Workshop 2: Interviewing with Confidence

Interviewing isn't about perfection. It's about preparation, presence, and alignment. This workshop walks you through what interviewers are really listening for and how to communicate your value clearly, whether you're across the table or on camera.
You'll learn how to:
- Understand how structured and behavioral interviews work
- Build strong responses using the STAR-L method
- Create an interview story bank you can adapt to different questions
- Show up with confidence in a virtual interview
- Ask thoughtful questions that show preparation and discernment
- Walk into your BIOP mock interview with a clear strategy
Resume Reviews

Get individualized feedback on your industry-facing resume from an experienced professional. Your reviewer will look at structure, relevance, accomplishments, keywords, and how well your resume aligns with the roles you're targeting.
CV Reviews

Best for: Doctoral students, researchers, faculty, academics, and advanced practitioners
Get individualized feedback on your CV for academic, research, doctoral, faculty, consulting, or grant-related opportunities where a CV is a better fit than a resume.
Mock Interviews

Best for: Anyone preparing for a new role, promotion, internship, fellowship, or career transition
Practice in a structured, supportive setting and get feedback from an experienced interviewer. Depending on your goals, you may practice behavioral, situational, role-specific, or career pivot interview questions.
